The recipe is so simple. Recipe and directions below.
1 package of Jenny-O sweet Italian turkey sausage
1 kielbasa (I use Hillshire Farm)
1 4.5 ounce can of sliced mushrooms
1 28 ounce can of diced tomatoes (Del Monte Basil, Garlic & Oregano) mostly drained
1 Jar of Pasta Sauce (PregobMeat Sauce makes it so meaty)
Squeeze out the turkey sausage into the pan and brown. I barely had any grease to drain!
Cut the kielbasa into slices, like quarters and add them to (already browned) Italian sausage. Mix in the rest of the ingredients above. Pour your Marina in and stir. Put a lid on top and switch the temperature to low. It all heats up so well. This last time I made this meal I did not use any seasonings or salt.
This sauce is packed full of flavor and it is so inexpensive to make. Pare it up with some other easy sides-
I added a can of green beans and loaf of Italian bread. This is one of very few meals that our whole family devours. We looked over at our small toddler who isn’t even 2 years old yet and he was shoveling it in his mouth. He’s my picky one too!
