Are your little ones starting to ask too many questions about this bunny that sneaks into your home and leaves colorful eggs and chocolate!
Here are a few ideas to get you and your children excited about Easter, and to make his presence a little more noticeable.
Some really cool ideas that I have found online and holiday traditions we do every year in our own home:
1. Leave a trail
I’ve been known to sprinkle some baby powder on the floor to make bunny footprints. I know every year my kiddos look for those prints right away.
2. Easter Bunny Tracker
Personally, I have never used the bunny tracker, but my hubby was tracking Santa’s every move last Christmas with the “Santa Tracker” it is really fun getting them involved and getting them super excited about getting to bed before the bunny enters “your town”. Trackeasterbunny.com
3. Tasty snack on a plate and in the grass (my boy insists on throwing a few in the grass) always!
Bake some cookies! Kids love to be involved in baking cookies.
Our family always makes a run for carrots 🥕 every Easter. The kids throw a few in the yard and of course on a nice plate on the kitchen table, what bunny doesn’t want a nice big carrot to snack while he’s hiding all of those eggs everywhere? Make sure you don’t forget to take a few bites from the carrots before going to bed.
4. Map out a list of events going on at your local mall or Church.
Our Church always has something amazing on Easter Sunday for the kids. It makes for the purpose of the holiday! Kids need to learn the reason we celebrate Easter, to begin with, and I can’t think of a better way. Also, see if your local mall is having an egg hunt as well.
5. Grab those Golden Eggs
This is new for us but I started buying 3 (one for each of my children) extra large golden eggs. The “special” surprises go in the large golden eggs! When hiding the eggs, hide them so they are fit for the appropriate age. Make sure you find a way to put their name on them or even just an initial if you are putting something different in each one for each child.
What does your family do on Easter? What are some of your traditions? I would really enjoy hearing them. Please, leave a comment and let me know. I would love to add more fun to our traditions with your new ideas.
Are you ready? Easter is only 10 days away!!
So I have to share how excited I am about Easter this year. If you have been reading along with me on my blog you know that we just bought out first home almost a year ago. This will be our first year actually being able to take the hunt outdoors. We finally have our beautiful fenced in back yard that we dreamed our children would be playing in one day.
Needless to say, Easter is at our home this year which means I get to cook and decorate even more. Holidays are my thing. I live for these very special occasions. My parents always made them so memorable for us growing up. The best part of it all is hearing all the laughter and watching the little ones go wild with so much joy. These are unforgettable memories that last a lifetime.
