Here I will be talking about a ton of things from Cricut cutting machines to bath bombs. I’m even going to throw in a little planner fun and we can’t forget about Fathers Day!
This post is all over the place. It’s going to have a little bit of everything going on. Instead of taking hours touching on one subject I decided to mix it all together. My family and I are kind of all over the place. While we are maintaining our same schedules the kids are going in a completely different direction. Summer is so unpredictable. That’s one of the things I love about it. Work always stays the same but the children get a twist of some supervised fun while we adjust to the different driving routes and out of the norm routines that are nothing like they were all year. It’s an adjustment for the entire family. I’d like to think of it as an exciting one though, they get up and go to a different place dedicated to “summer fun” and they get to have a little vacation themselves. Can you tell I’m getting a little excited?
Another month came and went by so fast. I’m another year older, and it’s ok. I’m not sad about it this year. I’m loving living an adult life and enjoying the luxuries of being an adult. My taste in presents has definitely changed. All I wanted this year for my birthday was a Cricut and I got it! It’s awesome and for those of you who do not know what the hell a Cricut is click here to find out. This machine is amazing. I’ve made the most beautiful things for my home and for my children’s classroom. It’s unbelievable what you can do with this thing. Take a look 👀 at my most recent projects. Below are fun colorful flowers to go on top of a gift. I cut them with the Cricut machine and then I glued them together with paper glue. I used my bone folder to make the creases stand out a little more where the score marks were embossed in.
When you buy a Cricut you have the option to subscribe monthly to Cricut’s design space where you can use designs that are ready to go. All you have to have is the materials to whatever design you choose to create. Of course, you could spend more and really get down. Even if you choose not to spend anymore there is so much that you can do without having to keep forking out money. The Cricut Explore Air 2 allows you to use the Bluetooth feature so you can design from anywhere! It’s really getting out of hand actually, we turned our back room into my craft room. The room was supposed to be a dude/rock room for my hubby but he was generous enough to let me have it. It was getting old moving the machine back and forth off the kitchen table. The machine is heavy and it does take up a nice sized space. I’ve made some pretty cool things already. My favorite would probably be this ROBLOX cup that my son absolutely loves! The middle picture shows vases I purchased at the dollar tree. Those turned out so cute. There are so many things that you can buy at the dollar tree to use with your Cricut.
You do not have to be a crafty know it all to own this machine. I’m not as crafty as I wish I was. I’ve always loved being creative and doing things from I guess you would say from scratch. I love the feeling of accomplishment and that’s what I feel after I make something beautiful. If you have been thinking about buying one of these (Cricut) but you haven’t because you’re just not sure if you’ll use it or if it will be too complicated to figure out it’s not, don’t think about it anymore, buy it! You will not regret it, I promise.
Here comes my favorite part, I love sharing my new found favorites!
If you haven’t already tried these you must! Victoria Secrets made the ultimate bath-bomb. When it’s doing its thing in the tub it actually comes bursting out with a chill to it. It’s cold in the hot tub water. When I was in the tub I just kept thinking to myself that this is my favorite one out of all of them I’ve ever tried. It smelled amazing while I was in the tub and when I got out I couldn’t believe how smooth my skin felt. Like I said, I’ve never experienced this much excitement from a bath-bomb before. It was so great I had to share.

Once again here I go bragging about Mac!
It’s just that good. Mac is my all time favorite makeup when it comes to blush and eyeshadow. To be honest I find the lipgloss very pretty but way too heavy for my liking. Whenever I run out of blush or powders I always find myself at this store. It’s long lasting and the product holds up very well for a long time. The picture above does this color absolutely no justice. Blush is called Modern Mandarin and the powder is in color medium-dark. These are a must have in my beauty bag!
My hands were so dry and scaley feeling, eww gross.
My hands get so dry and rough in the summer. You’d think it would be the other way around but it’s not. When my hubby had this issue I found a product for him that actually worked at this store here. I even used it a couple times but then I got my own. Do your hands get so dry that you are embarrassed to shake someone’s hand? I’m not sure if I remember my hands ever feeling so…. manly. Yes, manly. Why do my hands feel so rough? I’m a waitress so my hands are in water a lot but my man’s hands feel this way and he’s in construction. I’ll post a pic below to show you what the both of us have been using. I’m going to keep it up to see the results. The directions say to apply only a pea-sized amount at bedtime. When you are definitely not going to be using your hands because you will be asleep. Soft hands here we come.
Planner Fun (as usual) like I post every month.
This post is more for me. It’s so exciting when a new month approaches because I get to jazz up my planner. I’m loving this tropical Washi tape that I found at Michael’s craft store. I’ve been in this store a lot lately stocking up on Cricut supplies and it’s always been my favorite place to buy planner goodies! They have something for everyone in this store. I’m actually about to start making my own planner stickers to sell on Etsy so be on the lookout for those.
June is turning out to be a very busy month!
I love it! We’ve got a pretty long list of birthday’s to attend. The boys are going to be starting Summer camp next week. Like I said above, I’m about to be turning our entire routine around so I will definitely be using this At-A-Glance Planner a lot this month. I’m going to be completely honest here. A year ago when I was out looking for a new planner to start out my new year I knew nothing about The Happy Planner or Erin Condren planners. I walked into Staples and spent a very pretty penny on a basic (not very fun) planner. It wasn’t long after that I discovered all the Happy Life stuff. Instead of trading out the planner I didn’t want anymore, I just keep decorating it and yes, it makes me feel a little better. I know where to get the good one now. Of course, I went out and bought a mini happy planner and then a classic (it was on sale) but I just refuse to use them until next year. I hate wasting money it bothers me. Ok, now that that’s off my chest let’s move on to Father’s Day!
This photo was taken right off of Etsy’s website.
When it comes to shopping for my hubby I think that I’m getting pretty good at finding the right gifts. When it comes to shopping for my dad (also known as Papa) I can never decide on the right gift and I always end up getting him the same thing. Not this year! Nope, now that I have discovered Etsy I am all set! Here is the link to check out this store! This store sells homemade gifts (mostly) but everything sold is great quality if not better and you cannot beat the price! Check it out!
I took this photo right off their website so you get the idea of what you’re looking for. Needless to say, I can check Father’s Day off of my todo list. I finished up all of my shopping yesterday, yay! One less thing that I have to worry about. My Father’s Day post had to be very limited because I do not want them (my hubby or father) checking out my latest post and seeing what they are getting from the boy’s on their big day. Along with what I purchased at Etsy, I am also making a few additional items to go along with their gifts on my Cricut (of course) I had to throw that in there! There will be plenty of photos to share next month. Maybe give someone an idea for next year! Do any of you make your own gifts at home? I’d love to read about them here
