This simple, but delicious taco dip is definitely a family favorite! Every year, there are more requests for this dip than any dish that gets placed on the table.
I have a large family. My mother has seven siblings just on her side. All the Aunts and Uncles, Cousins and even there kids devour this dish as soon as it’s put in the table.
There it is! Take a close look. Is your mouth-watering yet?
Alright, ready to find out how simple this is?
1 medium-sized onion, diced
1 16 oz cream cheese
1 16 oz sour cream
1 package of taco seasoning (I only use half)
1 small can of sliced black olives
1 large tomato 🍅
1 bag of shredded cheese
1/2 cup of iceberg lettuce
Take your sour and cream cheese and mix together while adding the taco seasoning to taste. Seriously, easy on the seasoning. It can ruin the dish. Mix well, mix until it makes a spread.
We used a plastic tray that I would say measured out to be close to 12×12 and it fit perfect! Spread the mixture all over covering the entire plate.
Take your already diced onions, tomatoes, lettuce and black olives and sprinkle all over.
Now here comes the most important part (for me) add as much shredded cheese as you like. I love cheese 🧀 so I put a lot on.
Don’t forget your chips, whichever you prefer.
It’s that simple and I love simple.
